Dr. Dirk Massie graduated from Optometry School at the University of Missouri. He specializes in contact lenses and sports vision. Dr. Massie has been specially-trained and has received additional certification to fit even the most complex contact lenses to best fit your needs. Dr. Susan Dreyer obtained her degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry and has been serving the Creve Coeur area for over 15 years. Patients’ ocular needs and concerns come first in Dr. Dreyer’s practice. What is your contact lens guarantee?

If for any reason you find you cannot wear the contact lenses you were fitted to wear by our optometrist, we will refund you all professional fees & contact lens charges that were occurred during your contact lens appointment. But, it doesn’t stop there. We will also pay you $35 for your time AND pay for your bill if another optometrist is able to successfully fit you into contacts.

At our Performance Eyecare St. Charles County, MO location we offer a great selection of modern eyeglasses. We offer a great selection of modern prescription eyeglasses, including Ray Ban, Oakley, Chesterfield Eyewear, Diva, Calvin Klein, Callaway Golf Eyewear, Etnia Barcelona and much more. In addition to name brand eye wear, we can also make eyeglasses in our office. We have an out-of-the-art eyeglass laboratory that allows us to provide clear vision to our patients soon after their exam.

We are so confident in the eyeglasses we offer to patients, that we always offer a one year warranty for breakage at no additional costs to you or your family. If, for some reason, your glasses break simply bring them back into our office and have them repaired. In addition to the warranty, Performance Eyecare also offers a two-week exchange policy that allows you to exchange your frames for something different if you decide you do not like the shape or color that you initially chose.

I was a regular of Dr. Kevin Lydon for over 20 years. I came here after Dr. Lydon retired. This new group seems to be... all about the money. They do a very thorough job but it's way more expensive. Very disappointing.read more

Use to go when dr. Lydon was there, staff is very friendly, but sorry to say i will never return, had 2 insuranes, paid... close to 300.00 2 yrs ago, was never told up front, the new dr. Charges extra for diff exams, glasses were 510.00, with exam!!!! Once i received exam, was compelled to buy their glasses, couldn't believe they were that expensive!!! When i went to pick them up, lady behind desk, asked me if i was told about extra charges for exam, i said no, i would of never pd that!! Many co-workers directed me to costco, even walmart, where they pd 200.00 for same glasses, transtitions, and all, i feel as though my loyalty to stay with same place ,cost me way more then i could afford. Very dissatisfied customer.read more

I was a customer of Dr. Lydon for over 25 years. My bill was $300+ dollars more than with Dr. Lydon. After going to the... new facility, I was charged over $100 more for just my eye exam. Eye exam and contact fitting is $325.00 (which seems excessive). I was told over the phone (but not in person) that I would have saved lots of money (based on my insurance policy) if I would have paid cash. No one told me this was an option. Overall, I am disappointed. Loyal customers are not revered here like they were with Dr. Lydon. I updated my initial review. They did make an error on billing that was rectified the next day. Penny was incredibly kind on the phone.read more

I have had two visits at the new location and I love it! Dr. Massie listened to my needs and recommend a new contact... lens that he thought would fit my needs. He explained how they were constructed and the technology. I was able to try the them out before making purchasing them. Also, there is a large selection of glasses and the new display makes it accessible for viewing. The staff took time to made sure I was satisfied with the quality and fit of my new glasses before I left the office. I recommend giving them a call and see if they are a good fit for your vision needs.read more

New doctor. Wasn't told my doctor retired. Pushed to get new brand of contacts that cost more. Ordered contacts and... glasses but never got a call when they were in. Company called my old number. A new number was given to them when I came for my annual visit. They did not update it. 11/20/28 I am updating my review from a 1 star to a 4 star. I am still disappointed from the initial interaction, but after returning the next visit was better. I did have to go back because my glasses were not made correctly. I asked that they be exactly as they were, but with the new prescription. Unfortunately, the lenses were more curved and my old ones were flat. This was causing a huge glare. The office was able to send back and remake them. Then, my left eye prescription was too high. We had to lower the contact prescription. The office was able to return the old box of contacts and reorder the new prescription for me. They will be mailed straight to my door. 11/20/18 I received a call after writing this review. I was asked how things went. I said that I was still waiting on contacts in the mail. The clerk informed me that they were being mailed directly to me. That was correct. About an hour later I get a call saying my contacts are at the office ready to be picked up. FRUSTRATING! This office is very unorganized I think. I think that they do good with following up making sure the contacts and glasses worked out. But, they lack organization it seems.read more
