Dr. Dirk Massie, Performance Eyecare


Dr. Dirk Massie attended the University of Illinois where he graduated with honors, then attended 4 years of Optometry School at the University of Missouri. While in Optometry school, he worked with the team eye doctors for the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, and University of Missouri athletes.

Dr. Massie specializes in contact lenses and has been specially-trained and certified to fit the most complex contacts. He routinely prescribes contact lenses for patients with astigmatism, contacts for eye disorders/diseases, bifocals, and even vision shaping contact lenses that provide non-surgical vision correction.


Doctor Marcus Cuff attended Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) in Cape Girardeau, MO graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Biology. Upon completing his studies, Marcus elected to continue his education at University of Missouri- St. Louis College of Optometry. His optometric fields of interest include pediatric vision, binocular vision and vision therapy, ocular disease, and specialized contact lens fitting. Doctor Cuff is dedicated to treating patients of any age just like they were family and likes the variability that can be encountered in daily practice while working with patients with different needs.


Dr. Susan Dreyer is a 1990 graduate of the University of Missouri – St. Louis School of Optometry and has been in optometric practice in the St. Louis area for over 20 years – the last 15 years serving the Creve Coeur area. She believes that the quality of care and professionalism exhibited by all Performance Eyecare employees is simply unmatched. Patients and their ocular needs and concerns come first in her practice. She is eager to fit you in the perfect pair of contacts, treat your dry eyes and prescribe spectacles that give you the best possible vision.


Dr. W. Kevin Wright is a 1984 graduate of The University of Houston College of Optometry, and has been servicing the Greater Alton/Riverbend Area for over 30 years and hopes to continue to do so for several more years to come as a member of Performance Eyecare. Dr. Wright does not specialize in any one area of optometry, rather he practices in all areas and is well-trained to prescribe contacts or glasses to fit your lifestyle needs, as well as medications for eye emergencies and diseases.


Dr. Dan Cerutti is a native of St. Louis, having graduated DeSmet Jesuit High (1978), St. Louis University (1982), and the School of Optometry at UMSL in 1986. Immediately after school he began practicing at Warson Optics, eventually purchasing the practice, as well as a 2nd location. In 2008 he merged the two locations into Warson Optics and enjoys seeing all of his patients at one office.


Dr. Erik Peyton received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Columbia College in Columbia, MO (Summa Cum Laude), and graduated from optometry school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, also with honors. Dr. Peyton specializes in ocular disease, including treatment of dry eye and glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. While treating patients of all ages, he also educates them so they can better understand their eyes. 


Dr. Tom Cunningham has had a keen interest in vision since he was very young: experimenting with magnifying glasses, telescopes and microscopes leading to perceptions and the psychology of vision. 

Dr. Cunningham – a graduate of Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri–St. Louis –  has a passion to help those who are in need. He has been involved with the Gift of Sight program, now OneSight, for 30 years, and has had the privilege of helping thousands of patients. Dr. Cunningham’s specialties are quality patient care, contact lenses and functional vision. His mission is your vision.


Dr. Lyman was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from LSU in 1981 and his Doctorate in Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1986.

He moved to the Saint Louis area in the mid 1990s and has been with Cunningham Vision Care for the last 24 years, mostly at the Mid Rivers Mall office. He is excited about the merger of Cunningham Vision Care with Performance Eyecare.

Dr. Senija Turan | OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Turan was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina. As a child she moved to St. Louis with her family. She is fluent in English and Bosnian. She attended Saint Louis University where she received her Bachelors degree in Biology, and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago. She has advanced training in treating and managing complex ocular pathology including urgent ocular problems, glaucoma, retinal disease, and dry eye.

Dr. Turan has a special interest in fitting specialty contact lenses, including contact lenses for high astigmatism, bifocals, and non-surgical vision-shaping correction.


Dr. Frank J. Bier provides comprehensive eyecare to patients of all ages. He is a 1974 graduate of Lindbergh High School and a 1979 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 1984 he was among first graduating class of the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Bier is certified in ocular disease treatment and provides full scope eyecare, including post op Lasik surgery care, cataract care, and glaucoma management. He specializes in both rigid and soft contact lens correction. 

DR. Karen Wright | OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Wright has been providing eyecare in the St. Louis area for over twenty years. She graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry in 1989, and previously she earned her RN degree from Barnes Hospital School of Nursing. Dr. Wright provides comprehensive eyecare and in the process meets and cares for so many incredible patients. She specializes in fitting both soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses and providing glasses prescriptions tailored to the individual needs of her patients.

DR. Justin Kendall | OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Justin Kendall graduated Cum Laude while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Mizzou. He then attended four years of optometry school at the University of Missouri- St. Louis and graduated with honors. Dr. Kendall’s optometric fields of interest include pediatric care, management of ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses. Patient care comes first and foremost in practice for Dr. Kendall, and he values the role of patient education in all of his encounters.
