Dr. Dirk Massie

Dr. Dirk Massie attended the University of Illinois where he graduated with honors while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (Sports Medicine). He then attended 4 years of Optometry School at the University of Missouri. While in Optometry school, he worked at one of the largest private practices in the country where the eye doctors were also the team eye doctors for the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, and University of Missouri athletes.

Dr. Massie specializes in contact lenses and has been specially-trained and certified to fit the most complex contacts. He routinely prescribes contact lenses for patients with astigmatism, contacts for eye disorders/diseases, bifocals, and even vision shaping contact lenses that provide non-surgical vision correction. Dr. Massie also practices full scope eye care, including LASIK surgery care, and has the authority to write prescription medicines for conditions such as glaucoma, dry eyes, and allergies. In his spare time Dr. Dirk Massie enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie and their three children, Carson, Brock, and Olivia. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, and attending University of Illinois sporting events.
