Dr. w. Kevin Wright

Dr. W. Kevin Wright graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1980 with a bachelor of arts degree in Science and Technology. He is a 1984 graduate of The University of Houston College of Optometry, and has been servicing the Greater Alton/Riverbend Area for over 30 years and hopes to continue to do so for several more years to come as a member of Performance Eyecare. Dr. Wright does not specialize in any one area of optometry, rather he practices in all areas and is well-trained to prescribe contacts or glasses to fit your lifestyle needs, as well as medications for eye emergencies and diseases.

When not in the office, Dr. Wright and his wife, Starlet, enjoy spending time at their private property in Vulcan, MO and visiting with their three children and four grandchildren. They will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in December 2016! Dr. Wright is a very active individual and rides his bicycle 6-10 miles per day, and even when it’s too cold to do so, he runs on a treadmill or hits the gym. Dr. Wright and Starlet are active members of The Church of Christ located in East Alton, and Dr. Wright practices as an elder of the church.
