Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)

Conjunctivitis (more commonly known as Pink Eye) is a common eye condition when the conjunctiva (transparent membrane lining the outer eye) becomes inflamed. According to one study, more than 3 million school days are missed annually due to acute pink eye. Pink eye can be caused by bacterial or viral infections. 

Infection pinkeye is highly contagious, so if you suspect you may have pink eye, avoid contact with the infected eye, wash your hands often, and avoid re-using towels or wash cloths.
