The Performance Eyecare team is excited to introduce you to our 2024 scholarship recipient, Doralynn! Doralynn is a 5th generation farmer who is passionate about agriculture. Her main goal is to become an international correspondent for agricultural media companies, using various forms of media to educate global audiences about agriculture and address issues such as worldwide hunger.
She plans to attend the University of Missouri- Columbia majoring in Agricultural Communications and minoring in International Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources. She will start her dream by broadcasting on the university’s television station, KOMU. She wants to help farmers improve their practices, promote sustainability in farming, educate consumers on where their food comes from, and contribute to global food security.
Agriculture holds significant importance within both our environmental landscape and economic framework worldwide. Considering the profound socioeconomic implications of enhancing sustainability and the food crisis on a global scale, we recognize her aspiration to make a significant impact. We appreciate Doralynn sharing her dreams with the Performance Eyecare team, and look forward to cheering her on in her future endeavors!
